Default Shuttle reentry over LA area

FYI, the shuttle will be passing over the Palos Verdes Peninsula sometime before the 5:53pm landing time today. It's a bit cloudy out there, but you should probably hear the sonic booms I imagine and maybe be able to see it in the sky tracking north-north east.

I'm in Thousand Oaks. Was wondering what the hell that just was

Heard the boom, and the shake was so strong that I thought it was a quake or explosion at first. Shook all the walls/windows in my apartment.

i heard a Woomp type sounds then all the doors in my apartment shook. It totally freaked out my cat. I was on the phone with my wife at the time (she works a few miles away) and could also hear it through the phone.

I thought the booms were a terrorist attack. I promptly put on my gas mask and began covering my home with plastic covering and duct tape. Boy was I embarrassed...

Thanks for posting -- I was wondering what that was! It shook the house and sent the dog running in from the back yard.

I thought someone ran into the house it shook so hard here in Simi Valley. I was not aware it was landing at Edwards. I went outside to see what happened and when I came back in, I saw the headline on Yahoo news that the shuttle had landed in California.

I was just pulling out of my driveway when I heard a boom. It didn't sound too loud and didn't shake anything, but then again I have a huge subwoofer that shakes my car and I listen to the radio loud so I guess it was loud if I heard it over my music.
