Santa Barbara? Central Coast?
I'm just wondering why there's no forum for the Central Coast of California. Even Santa Barbara. San Luis Obispo, Montrey, Big Sur, Salinas, etc. Is it that small?
Anybody know anything about Santa Barbara in particular? Type of people? Job market? I've already been doing some research on the cost of living. All I can say to that is yikes! But I don't care, I'm coming to California no matter what.

I'm not clear on your question. Are you saying why isn't there a forum on Ventura County? Or why don't I consider Ventura County? I think Ventura County would fall under the L.A. forum.

The Central Coast just isn't populated enough and more importantly doesn't get enough postings here to warrant it's own forum.

I seem to remember this coming up before.
Interestingly, Florida has ten subforums.

How could Ventura county fall under L.A.? It would fit better with Santa Barbara/San Luis Obispo/Ventura, AKA Central Coast.

You can try North Santa Barbara County/ Santa Maria. It is fairly cheap and not far from Pismo, San Luis Obispo, Santa Ynez Wine Country. It's about an hour drive from Santa Barbara proper. Santa Barbara definitely has its perks, if you like shopping there's State St., then there's the history that includes the mission and the presidio and the stretch of beach Leadbetter and Chase Palm Park are good stretches of beach for recreational activities, downside is the whole area is very pricey.

Yeah, that would SEEM to be what it would fall under, but since there IS no forum for that area, I see Ventura discussed on the L.A. forum quite a bit.

Santa Barbara and all that is so overrated, but okay, not that bad.
