Default Another delay pushes Expo Line opening to late 2011

Expo officials said they had planned to open the 8.6-mile line in 2010, but parts of the route would not be completed until the latter part of 2011. Earlier this year, the estimated delay was 44 weeks, a figure that has been revised to 50 weeks in a September report to the Expo Line Construction Authority board.

I'm not surprised that there are delays. I wasn't counting on a Summer 2010 opening. I called the expo construction people a few months ago and was told that they were looking at Spring 2011.
Now it's late 2011?

I believe they are planning a partial opening though in 2010 if I read the article correctly. Maybe the first couple stations will be ready, but all the way to Culver City will take until 2011. It doesn't surprise me with the problems with Dorsey High and the Forshay Learning Center complaining about the rail and demanding more work for aerial stations, overhead walkways, ect.... It has been a long process to appease the schools.
