What does everyone think is the best way to find an apartment?... I'm looking in Los Feliz.
I'm tired of looking through craigslist ads and westside rentals.
Is there a property management company that you can recommend?
I think I might just wander around the neighborhood looking for rental signs.

los feliz is not that big as far as the area where apartments are, just find a parking spot and go for a stroll when you have a chance. just know that many management companies are closed on the weekends (especially sundays), so you might not get to talk to anyone if you go out on a weekend.

Hey OP, I'm in the same boat. Will be sniffing around Los Feliz this weekend as well. Let me know if you find anything good.

That's exactly how I found an apartment in Toluca Lake (when I lived there 3 years ago). I got so fed up with craigslist, rent.com, westside rentals, I just literally drove up and down EVERY single street in the area I wanted to be in and I finally found a good one for a good price. They weren't in any of the websites, so you have to keep your eyes peeled for those rental signs or property management signs.

Good luck.

Just drive up Los Feliz Blvd from about Hillhurst to Riverside Dr.
Drive around the neighborhood (foothiil area/Franklin Hills) and you will see signs.
Good luck!
