Good old RB, the guy who thought a subway in Los Angeles was nuts when a monorail would allow riders to take advantage of the great sites and sunshine. I do believe he was right. Oh, yeah and he wrote some books...

We saw Mr B at Twoees in Alhambra. He must live in one of those big houses in Pasadena.

Well, he was actually born in Illinois. But he lived in California beginning when he was a teenager.

I LOVE Bradbury. Love him. Good God but what a writer. I think my favorite book of his is Something Wicked This Way Comes and my favorite short story is All Summer in a Day.

I just read Reyner Banham's book Los Angeles The Architecture of Four Ecologies, and in it he mentions Ray Bradbury's stories about living on Mars as actually describing the mindset of living in southern California. Good stuff.
