Thinking about Chinese food reminded me of a couple more places worth mentioning.
Won's Restaurant in Van Nuys, on Gilmore St. just east of Van Nuys Blvd. The portions are huge, but also excellent.
Wong's Kitchen in Pacoima, on Osborne between I-5 and Laurel Canyon Blvd. The food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. They have inexpensive lunch specials that are a very good value, and the quality of the food is great.
