I read some of the replies on here and sense some serious sarcasm... don't know where "Watts and Grape street are" and I'm sure East Compton isn't a serious suggestion... but I am thankful of the people who have posted genuine replies.
I am really not looking to start any kind of "movement" for racial integration, but really, as income and education gaps are closed, it would seem to be a natural progression. I am surprised it is not more so here in CA considering how liberal the state is...

Television? Is this the only place you think there could be integration? Please Clarify...

There are some Caucasian Mexicans, particularly on television. However, most of the people of Mexican heritage in Los Angeles are Azteca-Mestizo.

Also interesting. Personally, I find the "Mestizo decent" claim mostly political... I can't see any reason another European colony would have such a drastically higher native population descendancy (Native Americans in US vs. in Mexico)... a little higher, maybe. But I think colonization pretty much dominated the entire area, before there was an established US - Mexico border. South America is a somewhat different story.

Still, the Mexicans in LA are speaking a European language, are (mostly) caucasian, and practicing Christianity (of European import), right?

So I'm more interested in the ethnic similarities between Whites and Asians you were referring to, if you care to elaborate.
