Want to Donate Stuffed Animals
I'd like to donate some gently used stuffed animals, mostly beanie babies, to a children's shelter or woman's shelter but I'm having a hard time finding such place listed on-line. Any suggestions. I don't have a car so it needs to be fairly local to 90025.
Thanks in advance

A Local Church Perhaps?
Most local churches have a drop box for donations, but I don't know whom they give the donations to...
Do you want a slip for your donations for tax purposes?

I have a stuffed deer, but I don't want to donate it. A friend has a stuffed bear in his office. That one is real cool. I have never gone bear hunting though.
Oh those kind of stuffed animals? Many charity places, and churches may come to you to pick them up or arange for someone to come get them.

Don't need a tax receipt, just wanted to make sure they go to some kids that need a little love.

Contact the Los Angeles Department of Child Services, my guess is they would have good info on where to donate.

Fire Dept takes toys right around Xmas. The Children's Hospital and other children's wards in other hospitals are a good bet otherwise call the Goodwill and they will pick it up for you.

We tried to give away a truck load of stuffed animals. Hospitals can not take them. Thrift stores will, but they throw them away as you leave. If they are not brand new they can carry germs. Too much liability.
We ended up giving them away on freecycle.com . There are freecycles all over, you have to list to one near you.
