Los Angeles Dating Scene
How's the LA dating scene for a single girl? Is it hard or easy to find a good guy?

Ashlae....unfortunately this is too general of a question. Without knowing what type of person you are as well as what is important to you as a person, it is impossible to answer without alot of generalizations. Every woman has a different experience dating in L.A. so you will get a different answer from everyone. Eventually you will just go with the answer that you want to hear. That being said, there are good and bad people everywhere. L.A. has the reputation of it's what you have rather than who you are as a person that counts especially as a single lady or gentlemen. You will find a ton of guys that will complain about how women care more about the type of car they drive than their education or what type of family did they grow up with. Then you will find a particular woman that will complain about how guys only care about one thing besides how they physically have to measure up a certain way. It is complex here...no easy answer for you.

well its definitely alot easier for single women than it is for single guys. however, that still doesnt mean that its good/bad...as the previous poster said, its complicated.
alot does depend on the type of person you are, what kinds of activities you enjoy, how big your friend circle is, and yes, what you look like and how you dress.

I think it is easier, but the problem is the shear size of the place. You meet thousands of people. My wife gets hit on dozens of times a day.
The key is to just do what you really enjoy in life. If you are happy and not looking you will meet someone that enjoys what you do. It can be a great start.
Me, I love the mountains. Moved to Yosemite for a few years, met my wife there. We live in LA now, but the mountains are our joy. We have seperate interests, but many common ones as well.

You'll definitely meet more guys the more you go out. But then, you'll definitely meet more douchebags. But I guess that's the same anywhere.

Where do you live? There are a lot of great churches of all sizes in LA. I would start there. Thats where I met my wife of 19 years.

Actually yes, here are a few great churches in the South Bay:
King's Harbor Church ::
Home*-*Rolling Hills Covenant Church - Rolling Hills Estates CA
Hope Chapel ~ Hermosa Beach
There are a lot of singles with various groups and activities which these churches offer as well as families ministries. These are the top three I would recommend after living in the South Bay for 40 years - definately worth the short drive from San Pedro. That was where my wife lived when we first met BTW. She actually went to San Pedro High.
