You will have lots of fun. You will see many interesting people as well. We take the kids to the Santa Monica Pier many times during the year and make the same treck from time to time.

Ohhh.....I am 5 months pregnancy now...seems very dangerous walking along the path!

Not really dangerous unless you aren't paying attention. From SM to Venice there are separate paths for bikes and pedestrians.

Has anyone seen the hug booth between the sm pier and venice beach, a bunch of guys and gals in orange shirts that give free hugs to people? I saw it earlier this year, looked it up online, said they do it on saturdays.
I dont know. Only in LA
I think the people watching is also interesting between those two points.

From a biking perspective, it's cool to link one of several routes through West LA into this path.

I think it is safe for pedestrians as long as you look when walking across the path. For some reason, a lot of pedestrians just will hang a hard left (or right) when they want to turn around or something. Totally oblivious to all the other roller blade and bicycle traffic.
