Merlin McFly's was a restaurant/bar on Main St in Santa Monica (there was a Maggie McFly's in Santa Barbara and a Maxwell McFly's in Carmel).
And thanks for recalling the name of Washington St, Fontucky.
Tawny Little? I had forgotten about her! She seemed to be everywhere back then. Remember her co-anchoring "Eye on L.A." ?

I remember taking my little sisters to the Wiltern theater for movies. We always thought the hot dogs smelled like elephants, but we ate them anyway.

Did you ever catch his daughter April Winchell's radio show when it was on KFI?

No I didn't and wasn't aware she had a radio show. My Aunt bought an oil painting by Mr. Winchell and I don't think most people are aware of Paul Winchell inventing the artificial heart.

According to your link, it's "Sniff," but others show it as "Smiff,"
