Los Angeles in the '80's
Just watched the "The Informers" based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel and it brought back memories of the '80's. I don't live there anymore but boy was it fun back then! What were your favorite places? Do you remember these?
The China Club on 3rd
Trumps
Club Odyssey
Westwood Village on the weekends
Illegal loft clubs downtown
Rocky Horror on the Sunset Strip
Spago (the original one)
Ariel
Park Plaza Hotel

I forgot about Madam Wongs!! My roommate was a bouncer at Yesterdays but that was more of a bar/restaurant. There was a 4-story disco in Westwood with different music on every floor but I can't remember the name.

Me too CamarGuy! I remember working for Anheuser Busch during the Olympics. They took over the entire Century Plaza and gave us all the free beer we could drink. They'd never do that now...too afraid of being sued.
