Which area has the MOST AFFORDABLE rent?

I realize rents vary even within each area. However, let's assume we are talking about somewhere relatively close to the "heart of the action" in each area.

Thanks!

d. none of the above

seriously though, each has cheaper areas, so it's tough to say. for example, on/near venice blvd east of lincoln apartments are much cheaper than those close to the boardwalk. same goes for santa monica, the area around pico blvd as you get east of lincoln are considerably less than those near the coast or north of wilshire. i'm not that familiar with weho, but i'd imagine it would be the same there as well. generally though, they are all expensive places, but weho would probably get you the most bang for you buck.

Heart of the action translates to expensive no matter where you live. Parts of Venice are very undesirable with drug dealer, etc with a large homeless population both there and Santa Monica. Guessing S.M. would be the most expensive but that really depends on your budget doesn't it? Have you physically been to all three areas? Just look at the classified section of the L.A. Times in all three areas to get an idea plus Craigslist.
