Right now with the high unemployment you are going to have a hard time finding someone to sponsor you. I don't know if you want to stay in the psychology field, but if you do, maybe consider going to a college in California to get your Master's degree.

My brother in law has a BA in Psychology and after searching for a nice job somewhere for a long time he settled in at Best Buy on a managerial track. In a few more years he may be considered for a managerial position, in the mean time he works up the supervisory ranks making a lot less. Probably not the greatest idea to come to CA with a Liberal Arts degree and hope for a sponsor because there are so many already out there already. You'd be better served going for your Masters as it will open up other opportunities, or perhaps getting your teachers credentials, then you may find a sponsor since teachers are in demand.
