I agree with everything you have stated, I was just trying to point out that every city in the world seems to have gang problems not just LA, go to the major cities of South Africa, Russia, Albania, Thailand, Germany and tell me the gangs you see there are soft, trust me they are just as bad. But in LA the gang culture is different and it has a very long history associated with it.
Getting back to white gangs, the person who posted that white gangs have been invented by liberals in hollywood is kidding himself, white gangs are in LA and have been for a very long time.

actually brasil might have the worst gangs. just read a story about an ambush on police in one of the favelas. and these are young kids too! thuggery is not unique to LA and LA is not the template. maybe for midwest white kids who love them some rap music, and want to be like snoop and dre. but gangs are everywhere. did you know that many black gangs in LA started as a response to the harrassment blacks got from white segregationist in parts of LA like South Gate and HP? The spook hunters were a notorious white "gang" that went into watts and surounding areas to beat and harrass blacks. then in the 60s blacks got together and formed gangs. as protection. maybe the ku kux klan and skin heads are the template? thuggery is pretty much universal. and my dislike for them is across the board. round up all these lil thugs even them pee wees and let them duke it out. thats a great paper view fight! ok im just joking, but its not that bad of an idea.

You forgot to mentoin Phillipines, Ireland, central America, south America, Italty, etc. Even Eastern London had MASSIVE problems years ago. Just look at New York of 10 years ago. Even though there arent "gangs" or organized crime, Detroit, Phoenix, New Orleans, St. Louis, and DC have incredibly high amounts of crime. Sure, LA is bad by US standars, but dont tell me that gangs and organized crime abroad is soft because that is utter and total nonsense!

L.A. does have a deeply entrenched gang problem. Deeper then most cities. There is no worse, but the problem in L.A. is a severe one.

As for those Brazilian gangs. The things you see are that way becuase the government allows it to be. The USA would be just as violent if it wasn't for the $$$.

There are other white gangs in the LA area, not all are racist or nazi.

venice beach and huntington have a lot of the DPW. or Dog Patch Winos. They are a street punk gang from the oakland area. You can normally spot them out with their mohawks and leather studdded jackets. they seem to just sell drugs and show up occasionally for armed robbery. i dont think they claim turf or anything, atleast not in LA.

don't be worried about white gangs in Los Angeles County and the surrounding counties...ORANGE, VENTURA, RIVERSIDE, SAN BERNARDINO, maybe kern a little there are some skinheads in the antelope valley palmdale and lancaster...but the huge racial diversity in the cities, schools, and businesses...doesn't give them the number power that gangs really need to be a threat...besides some white gangs allow some hispanics to join..because the neighborhoods they come from tend to encompass a great deal of latinos
