Crips and bloods
In LA, theres relatively few white bloods and crips, both because whites are a demographic minority in LA, and because LA generally is very pro-black and anti-white. But even though of all that, theres more white bloods and crips in LA, then theres asian bloods and crips. Senera Williams, who grew up in Compton, had a sister who was killed by a white crip, so there ARE white crips in LA.
In the whole country, theres lots of white bloods and crips, and not limited to poor areas, even in both white and black richer suburbs.
Chicago street gangs
But it seems that everybody thinks its all about crips and bloods. Well, big news, there are much more Chicago-based street gangs then LA-based, because LA is all about bloods and crips, who are all about banging and less about the money and power. Chicago gangs (folk and people nation) have spread to the rest of the USA, but they are largely neglected in the media and in hip-hop. Chicago was the city of capone, and the city gangs originated. .
A few comments:
1. Ask the people in Harbor Gateway and Highland Park about how "pro-black" LA is. Guess you haven't been following the news coming out of LA recently (these stories have even made the BBC, so I'm sure the Chicago media has covered them)
2. IIRC, the Bloods originally were the L.A. branch of the Chicago Black P Stone Rangers from the People alliance. They had moved from Chicago to L.A.
3. While Chicago has a long history of gangs, they didn't originate there. There were gangs in Byzantium during the 6th century (the Blues and Greens). 18th century London had gangs. In the US, there were gangs in NYC and Philly in the early 19th century, probably in Boston also, before Chicago even existed as a city.

A few comments:

1: I might have overstated that.
2: Yeah, the bloods consist of other gangs that joined in order to be competitive with the crips.
3: I know, but I was talking about modern gangsterism in USA - and that did originate in Chicago.
Theres lots of white gangsters, and thats not limited to the mafia, racists or bikers. Street gangs such as crips and bloods in the whole country have a lot of white gangmembers, and Chicago-based gangs too. In LA, theres few white crips and bloods, having to do with some degree of racism and some degree of the demographic/geographic limitations. Most chicago-based gangs that exist in LA (i guess few if any) wouldnt have such limitations.
BTW, if I visit the DOJ website and look at crime stats, will I see that all the info you've stated here about White gangs is accurate?
I dont know, but I have already proved the stuff I told you. Go back and see "Evidence" and see the links I provided and the pics. Also see the sources to check. And see the gangs I said were white.
What is your problem with admitting that these white gangs exist? Theres a few blacks and hispanics in them too, but they ARE white.
JamesT, your probably a rich fat kid sitting at your computer all day, thinking you can disprove this with some crime statistics from the internets. I am talking about my first hand experience here, plus pics and knowledge from ChicagoGangs.com. Theres no doubt about this, only you having a problem admitting these facts. So stop the bad jokes will you - they're racist and I bet you're white, which is why you wont admit it.
I have to sort of agree with Curtis here...just because a gang is "just" bikers or "just" white supremacists (yikes...what's that Nazi-whatever gang?) doesn't mean it isn't a gang.
