I know someone who's created a new startup company, and if things go as planned, they may move from Texas. I suggested they didn't, but they seem to want to.

So, what is the cost of living like? And how in the hell do people who make less than $75k make it?

The single biggest factor is the cost of housing. The rest isn't too bad. People making under $75k make it by renting apartments and having roommates.

You can make it on less than 75K. Rent will be your biggest expense. No one has to go out to dinner every day or Star Bucks in the morning. I believe people spend too much and want the best cars. Budget and you'll do fine.

Hi Puffle,

I did move out of my apartment and put everything in storage. I'm still hanging around though. I need to finish some work projects and get some work done on my car and then I'm off. I still don't know where I'm going but my mind is gravitating toward the east coast. I might go find a place in Vermont or something, but I could change my mind at any time. I miss the snow and the four seasons. Would love to see the change of leaves in the fall again.

Artie

Well, as usual, good luck to you and keep me posted if you don't mind. Maybe we can connect in the East if we ever get out of the West!
