Hi there ! I'm french and my dream is to live in L.A. later. I was already go there for hollidays few times with my familly, and we visited a lot of place like beverly hills, hollywood, etc..

The weather is really good all the year, and so hot. It's really better than where i live now. My parents would like to live in U.S.A later too, but i don't know where exactly, i only now that they would like to open a business there, and it's the same thing for me.

I spent 6 month in Cambridge (UK) in linguistic school, for improve my English. Then, i'm not perfect in English, but i'm better than when i didn't go in Cambridge.

So..I'd like to know how it's possible to live in L.A. for a french peoples, because it's really difficult for us, you have a lot of rules..If anyone can help me ? How to obtain a card to live all the time in L.A. ?

(Something stupid but, i know a stupid rules and i don't know if it's real, but if i do a fast marriage in Las Vegas with an American girl, it works ? It's a joke, i have a girl friend, but i just want to know, for my curiosity)

I am 20 years old, so i'm still young, I have my time, but it's for my parents too.

Thanks !

Hey Jason,

Where in France do you live? The south of France (Nice, Marseille) has a Mediterranean climate similar to LA. Granted LA has warmer winters and gets less rainfall.

I don't recommend the quick wedding in Vegas. Getting caught is a serious crime and you'll get deported for good.

Why are you so sure you want to leave France for Los Angeles?

Note: Your English is good but it is not correct to say "How to live in LA for a french peoples?" A better way to say it would be, "How is it to live in LA for a french person?"

Hi, thanks for a fast answers !

I live in North West of France, near the coast (Saint-Malo, you can check with google maps). The weather here is really bad, this summer is good, but sometime, and the rest of the year, it's cold and rain.

I'm sure that i would like to live there, for few reasons : The weather (All the year) beautiful and hot. Nowadays, in France, it's really difficult to find a job and the economic in our country is really sad. My parents always say " Don't stay in France " because we have a lot of problems. But the first reason is, i love to travel, and i'd like to discover new cultures. Of course i can discover in others countries, but i always would like to live in L.A., it's a dream : )

In holliday, i visited other cities, like San francisco, new york, las vegas, orlando, miami, etc..And i'm absolutely sure that i'd like to live in L.A.

(Thanks, i try to do my best about my English, it's the same when i speak with my voice and listen someone, actualy, i can't understand everything but a good part and when i speak with my voice i do some mistakes but the peolples undertand me)

You are only 20 ... , if you have money you should go to university there, it's easy to get a visa and you'll be able to meet lot of people (and maybe a new girlfriend who knows ...).
I'm French too and I've been transferred by my company but if I was your age, that's what I would do.
Try to go into a high demand field like tech/IT.
Enjoy !
