I called back the next day and told a different person what had happend. She asked me for a "sumthing" number. What is that? I need a "sumthing" number to help you.I don`t have a number. I can`t help you with out that number.End of call.Yesterday a Comcast repair truck was parked next door. I put a 3x5 card note under the windshild wiper. "see the man at(my house number).About twenty minutes later he drove off. Now I like Comcast (I think) but I`m starting to look at alternatives. Has any one else had similar problems?

I've had both Direct TV and Dishnetwork. Both of them provide the same product. When I had Dish I was happy and now I have Direct and no complaints. Anything and I mean anything is better than cable.

If you are wondering why if I was happy with Dish I would change here is the reason.
I had Dish for about 5 years no problems, then my remote went out. I called Dish and they said that it would be $50.00 for a new remote. I reminded them that they were offering new customers, two receivers, 500 channels and free installation. They told me that the offer was for new customers only. I asked them how long I had been a loyal customer and he took a look and said 5 years. I then asked why would they treat a loyal customer different than a new one. He said that the offer was to attract new customers not keep existing ones. I then asked for a manager and they told me the same thing. So I asked if they were willing to loose a customer that was paying $60.00 a month for a $50.00 remote? His answer was yes. So I called Direct TV after I hung up, got two receivers, new dish and free installation, and it was $20.00 per month less for the first year, I have had them for about 4 years.
