Hey I have the same car but mines black with red seats.
For one crazy moment I considered putting one of my sons boards in the back and re-shooting that scene.
But the cops would nail me for sure, I guess things were different back in those days.
And two gas stations now!!

You should do that! Take the new picture! Why would the cops mess with you? Just don't do it in rush hour. That would be a cool comparison pic for sure. Good luck finding Sally Field

I also clicked on a site that shows the average price comparison for things during differant years and for 1965 the average cost of gas was .31 a gallon.

I used to work at a magazine in that office building. My boss had an excellent ocean view from her office. I love seeing these old pics of L.A.!
