The people of LA refused to have theit taxes raised a bit to pay for a new football stadium even tho it brings business to town. The pro teams won't play in a dated space. There you have it.

Sad tale isnt it?

L.A. just isn't in as big and lucrative a market as places like Nashville and Charlotte.

I still have the Los Angeles Rams and Raiders Jerseys, banners and caps. I'm still a fan of both even though they moved.

Here's a vote for keeping the NFL OUT of the LA taxpayer's pockets. All due respect to football fans (as I am one too), the NFL is VERY GOOD at STEALING from the PUBLIC PURSE.....in the form of tax subsidized stadiums.

If a private party wants to fund it, then I have no problem with an NFL team coming back to LA. I am VERY PROUD that LA told the NFL to take a hike when the Houston Texans francise was born.

Very funny that a city in a so called "red" conservative state ponies up a taxpayer funded stadium. Talk about welfare programs for rich owners and wealthy players!!! LOL!! Houston got cleaned. Yeah, I know Houston is NOT all of Texas, but still more conservative than not.

LA rightly said, "Oh yeah NFL, I think we already have plenty of sports and entertainment here....we are NOT going to pay for YOUR stadium." Which by the way only produces 8 games a year and does NOT provide a net benefit to the city or taxpayer.

The NFL doesn't seem very anxious to put a team here. A team would have to move here because there is not going to be another expansion in the NFL.
