I am looking for a 2 night solo getaway by myself. I usually travel more than I have done this year, but I am saving money for relocation. I need a getaway though. Any ideas? I admit I am high maintenance although I am not that into a million expensive beauty treatments or shopping sprees (would be if I had more money though HAH). I am not into hiking so "roughing it" kind of things. Looking for a place that is safe for me alone and is a place I get drive to.

What I have done so far:
Vegas
San Francisco
Monterrey
San Diego
Palm Springs
Lake Arrowhead
Big Bear
Catalina
Santa Barbara
Yosemite

Ojai
San Luis Obispo
Paso Robles
Pismo Beach
Big Sur (including Hearst Castle)
Santa Cruz
Sequoia/King's Canyon (stay at lodge)
Temecula
Tijuana if you're feeling adventurous
Lake Tahoe (bit of a stretch for 2 days)
Grand Canyon (also a bit of a stretch)

Or, take a 1-hour flight to the Bay Area and rent a car to open up the northern half of the state as an option.

Idyllwild, CA. 6000 feet elevation. Hikes up to 11,000 ft. Quaint town. Good eats. No ski crowd. Restfull. Home of Idyllwild Arts, a world renowned school (there are often various arts performances there). Try Creekstone Inn or SilverPines Lodge. Ask for Chris Singer, the hostess with the mostess. Tell her Kevin G. recommended her place.

If you like the beach, find a cheap place in Laguna (Laguna Motor Inn perhaps). Off season rooms are around $80 a night.
