For a start it enables you to wear decent clothes and have your hair cut more than once a year. Also look at the Bio's of current stars the vast majority have industry connections and while that does not mean they have piles of money it does mean they get to the right events or even through the gates of the studios.

I think you should start by renting out an apartment and use that 1 mil that you have to make your film or whatever you have planned. You need to spend money to make money....

yes but its not necessary... everybody can get their hair cut anywhere. Now connections are a different thing lol
