I saw a very old thread about someone asking if the L.A. life was like the reality show on MTV, “The Hills.” People were saying no, and that “The Hills” is a fake representation of life in L.A.

There's a good chance you did it just to fish for compliments and wh**e for attention, just as you are with this thread. Why go through all the trouble trying to prove to everyone about your supposed lifestyle? Doing so in a boastful manner makes you come off as someone who's lying, or a very cocky person.
Modesty is one of the greatest qualities someone can have...

This amyluv77 is unbelievable. She posts her life story over and over again under "Are people in LA phony and pretentious?", simultaneously claims she isn't one of these fakes, and then she starts this thread which I guess is some sort of haphazard pitch for her own MTV mini series. Being blessed with such a fortunate life doesn't make you phony and pretentious, but constantly reminding everyone that you represent this luxurious L.A. lifestyle DOES. If you don't want people to view you as a shallow superficial person, do not reply to this, and do not make any more posts informing us all that you drive a $50,000 German-engineered sedan. You've got a great life but show some modesty and don't go tell it on the mountain.
