Default When to get an apt.?

Hey everyone,
I'll be moving to LA at the end of July to start law school in Aug. I was thinking of flying out to LA end of June to find an apartment. Is this too soon? I'm looking to live in Santa Monica, West LA, Culver City, Palms, Mar Vista, Westwood, Brentwood, Venice Beach, Marina Del Rey....
Thanks!

I don't think it's too soon. I'm moving there mid-July and already have an apartment lined up for me. I can now focus on other aspects of my move instead of worrying about a place to live.
