Its funny because, even though my parents settled in Toronto in 1995, from Ukraine, when I went to elementary school I was exposed to all those "LA" rap videos with Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, and with all the "California Love". More so than the New York rap songs.

I gotta admit it left a huge impression on me and that's why I wanted to move to LA ever since. That and the weather.

What about you?

Legal pot? Not really. You need to get a medical license and purchase from an approved shop. Venice Beach is dirty as hell.

Hmm.. I admit I don't know of those places you mention, rather what differs one from the other.

I would like to live there at one point though. I wonder if illegal Canadian immigrants are looked upon favorably over there

LA is kind of portrayed as the personification of the 20something's dream. It's portrayed as 75 degrees and sunny all year with hot babes roaming the streets in bikinis and cutoffs and celebrities on every corner while waves crash on the beautiful beach and Ferrari's cruise the streets. It's very different in reality, but idealistic youths don't understand that until they experience that it's not the same visually and is probably double or triple the cost of where they came from.

I've been dreaming about LA since I became a Michael Jackson fan over 15 years ago. Because he lived there. And I've always been fascinated by the entertainment business and wanted to land a job there one day (office job, not become an actress or anything ). And the weather, of course. That's why I'm moving there next month

It's the only place where you can have tattoos across your entire body and yet still work in a law office:
