I have Charter basic cable with an analog TV, in Pasadena, CA.

Just now (Sat. Mar. 27, about 8:20 PM) most of my cable channels were severely pixellated with choppy sound. It was mostly channels 4-10, and 12. This lasted about 10 minutes. Something similar happened a few Saturdays ago. I can't remember the date but it was during the Olympics. It also happened a little a week ago.

Whenever this happens, channel 3 is never affected. This is the channel that has local government programs. I suppose this means Charter is having a problem receiving signals, is that right?

Have you had the same problem? Also, it always seems to happen on Saturday nights. I'm not sure if I should call them since it's intermittent.

Happened last weekend to me and is happening again right now. Cuts in and out on my HDTV. It's annoying! I really hate charter but I hate the satellite companies just as much.

Thank you Zenmaster. I just called Charter and they played a tape saying there is a known problem with tiling with OnDemand. I don't have OnDemand, but maybe it's the same problem we are having.

Yeah I don't use on demand either. I just have extended basic cable. Still doing it right now though

It's odd that it happens on Saturday and Sunday mainly. Worries me that is has something to do with usage. If the more that use it make it not work, well then that is not good. It's 2010 Charter.

Tiling means there is a signal strength problem generally, but that shouldn't affect analog cable(analog cable shouldn't tile at all according to what Time Warner told me when I was having issues).

That's why I suspect the problem is with the cable company's receivers and not with sending the signal to the customers.

It's doing it again! Three days in a row now where primetime TV is barely watchable. I hear about every other word that comes out of the TV. What exactly am I paying for again?

I'm having the same issue with two receivers (Moxi). Premium channels ok, but primetime network channels are totally tiled/chopped, scrambled. Evenings only, primetime, network signals.

I had the problem (Mar. 29) Sunday night around 7-10 PM on channels 4-10 and 12. (Not 11 or 13 which is weird.)

To Ellthree - where do you live? I'm in Pasa near Colorado/Lake.

Does anyone know what's happening?? I called last night and they again had a message saying there were known problems with tiling.
