Is the area around index street, Rinaldi/Mission Hills safe? Do you have any pictures to upload?
Thanks

Yes, no problems there.

Go to Google Maps Street View.

Thanks. But is it safe for a young woman to walk alone in that area around 6AM? Need to be in downtown before 8.30AM and will be using the bus. It is a 1h35 min ride. Will make sure I am back before 8PM!
I have to go with this for at least a month until I find a place closer to downtown, in a SAFE area.

I haven't driven in that area in about 20 years or so, but I just did some random google street views around there and it still looks OK to me.

By the way, did you look into metrolink trains to downtown?

hey! thanks a lot. I checked Metro rail, the commute with train and red line is more convenient! But I still need to walk like 32 mn from home to the train station. Hope it is not dark around 6/7AM. The area looks very nice to me, but it seems like everyone else drives lol

One of my best friends lives in Mission Hills. Although you do get some spillover crime from Pacoima (once you come here, you'll know what I mean), its generally a safe area.

You'll need a car in the area, but I got around just fine without one. My friends also say I have a tolerance for patience

Where exactly along Rinaldi are you saying? There's a HUGE difference between Rinaldi West of Sepulveda and East of Sepulveda. Going eastbound, it gets a bit more sketchy, but I wouldn't feel unsafe. The more west, the nicer it gets.
