One thing scheduled to happen, hopefully in 2011 (2012 at the latest?) is the opening of the first phase of the expo light rail line from Downtown to Culver City. Phase Two is around 2014/2015 and will go all the way to Santa Monica

we've gone through hard times before and come out stronger. Remember the last recession with massive downsizing coupled with the rioting after the Rodney King verdict? LA will bounce back, just have faith.

I just hope new business/commercial districts will open closer to where ppl actually live, to reduce commute times.
