There's one up here in NELA, on Eagle Rock Blvd. Saw Royal Crown Revue play there, which was alot of fun. It's a pretty retro gig, NOT fancy by any stretch, so be forewarned.

Then again, I have yet to set foot in an 'upscale' alley. What's the fun in THAT?!

They have some decent eats up that way? I Love Eddie Nichols! That's awesome. I saw RCR play at the Derby once! Loved em ever since.

Well the alley has a Chinese place inside - never ate there. But there's always the BUCKET with their heart-stopping, humungous burgers. Good selection of beer. Auntie Em's Kitchen is great, too though they are only open for breakfast and lunch. Big fan of the Cobb Salad, and their breakfasts are great.

i've been a couple of times. it was a bit small and expensive, but this was a few years ago, it sounds like they have more specials now. however, i've also had my company cover the bill on another occasion and everyone got drunk and we had a competition on who could hurl a bowling ball the fastest down the lanes. lucky strike is still the only bowling alley i've ever been to that tracks the speed of each throw (or whatever you call it). having said that, i prefer the vibe at local bowling alleys and the dive bars they usually have inside. i would go back to lucky strike though, in fact i've been to try out the new downtown location.

we get down to gage bowl (might not be the most savory part of town for folks). the great part is that it is fairly inexpensive and is open 24hours!!! locals from south/east los angeles.
