Hi everyone!
I'm moving to LA next year to attend UCLA, and I'm currently researching for apartments to stay in over there... I did some research and found places like Los Feliz and Woodland Hills, but people say there aren't too much you can do there and it's more like a valley?

I also looked up at apartments out there, I originally really liked Archstone apartments but some are saying their management is terrible and there are lots of cockroaches around? Has anyone ever lived there?

Anyway, I would really absolutely love some feedbacks and suggestions as to where I should stay at, that is safe and have fun things to do... I don't mind driving to go to school daily, as long as the driving can stay under 40 minutes (not during the traffic time of course)

Thank you!!

Places like Woodland Hills are way too far.
Traffic time is almost all the time.
Search the threads for similar posts.
This might help: HousingMaps

joy, lets' put it this way, don't listen to everyone quite so much. Yes, most are giving what they see as good advise, we all do that. My point, no matter where you think would be a good place, someone is going to tell you "don't do it" As for Woodland Hills, I think it will be out of your driving range.

Please consult a map after you find these places. While looking at the map, keep the following playing on an endless loop inside your head: "I must live as close to UCLA as possible. I am completely clueless about the level of traffic and congestion that awaits me in L.A. I am like an innocent lamb being led to slaughter."

seriously, try to be within walking distance of UCLA, you will enjoy life so much more if you do this.
