But it'll never pass as GNO, we have pride in this little college town! I know pretty much all of I-12 will be developed in the future. I don't think most in BR have a problem with NO or the Northshore, we have a pretty good connection with Hammond.
The area along I-12 between BR and Hammond/Ponchatoula has mostly filled in right?

Yes, to Louisiana standards but not enough. When it fills in, it'll look like one continuous suburb, there are too many wooded areas in between.

Given that we don't have another long corridor where there's constant development, I'd say this one is somewhat filled in but not compared to Baltimore-D.C.. There's too many wooded areas to call it all developed but I'm not saying I want to see all the trees get cut down either.

The only place somewhat like that in Louisiana is down by the coast near Cutoff and Galliano. One continuous (narrow) strip of development all along the bayou. It is so awesome. Its mainly homes and small local businesses though, which is why it is so interesting. I dont like suburban sprawl from city to city.

I think somewhere on the 12 corridor should be a city with a decent core, something like Hammond, sense they have a university.

how so?
This isnt some open area surrounded by solid bedrock here. This is all based in marchland and coastland. There is swamp in between areas and large areas of empty land. ITs not going to work.
