Moving to Morgan City
My family (myself, my husband, and two children) will be moving to Morgan City this summer. We are hoping to find a home in Morgan City or nearby in Houma. I have never been to the area before and I am not really sure what to expect. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I would take Houma over Morgan City any day. Even better would be Thibodaux. If this tells you anything, I've never heard a single good thing about Morgan City from anybody who grew up there. I'm sure it's like any other place and a lot of it has to do with your individual preferences but my impression is it's one of the places that isn't high on anyone's list.

Once upon a time, Morgan city was a decent little town many years ago. But it's a different story today. I recommend staying away from that area. You're more than likely better of in Houma.
