moving to Gonzales, LA
Hi, I have been displaced since Katrina and would like to move back to Louisiana. I'm presently looking for a home in Gonzales, La. I'm a city girl at heart but as I get older I prefer a mix of city/country life. However, I don't like rural all together. I'm looking at a property located off Hwy 44. It's about 10minutes from I-10 off Burnside and 5minutes from Airline Hwy. The are is a newly constructed subdivison, so the homes are nice. Can anyone tell me more about the area, people, schools, shopping, crime, racial tension? I'm african american and I have good friends from a diversity of races. How is Gonzales regarding race relationships? Also, what are your takes on crime in the area? Any good restaurants? Thanks for your replies.......
