Khartley,

That's exactly where I am trying to move to as soon as my lease expires here. I could literally walk to work since it's right off Barksdale's north gate. It's gated which is a plus because this area in general is just filled with petty crime. Did you guys have trouble getting an apartment there short-notice or do they have a waiting list. My lease expires at the end of the year, so I have tons of time to get a 2-bed apt locked in there, if there is a wait list and all.

Also, do they have washer/dryers in the units, or do you have to rent them? If so, how much for rent? Do you pay for water there? How much is their pet deposit?

Thanks for the help

I think you will be very happy here. We had no trouble getting in, they had lots of openings and were very accommodating in finding us the exact apartment we wanted (top floor, end unit-I was a bit picky ). Im not sure if they have a waiting list now, the parking lots seem a little fuller than when we first moved in, but not crazy. You may want to go ahead and give them a call just to be sure.

They have washer dryer hookups, and you can rent them (not sure how much though we have our own), and they also have a nice laundry center near the office). The pet deposit is $300/per pet, and I want to say its all non-refundable, but I'm not totally sure-but you don't have to pay an extra fee per month to have animals. They will let you break up the fee if you need to though.

Like I said we're very happy here, the management is super helpful and maintenance is quick to respond when you have an issue. We had ants last month and by the time I had walked back to my apartment from the office, they were already in there spraying.

I know right now they're running a first months free rent on 2 bedrooms, so see if you can lock in on that deal Free rent is always good. Let me know if you have any more questions.
