when I was a kid visiting family in New Iberia I took a walk to the waterfront at Bayou Teche and one of those suckers actually crawled BETWEEN my feet. Pretty hair-raising for a 10 year old. Luckily it slid through the rocks on the shoreline and I didn't see it again.
