Hello everyone!

I really need your help. Will be moving to Lafayette from the UK in about 3 months with my husband and 2 year old son. We have never lived in US so have no idea what to do.
I am trying to find a house for rent but on all the websites can mostly see apartments. Do you have any tips how and when to look.
Also I would like to know which areas of Lafayette are the best for families! We need something safe obviously
I would appreciate all your help! Thank you in advance!

I really think this forum needs a new subsection for Lafayette at this point.

Welcome to the area first of all. If you have a passion for culture, music, and food, this is the place to be. We love life and love enjoying life. We are on a unique wavelength as far as American cities are concerned. You have the luxuries and features of a city this size, but also a lot of things that are done just a little bit differently.
I could repeat what Ive posted and what others have posted many times in this forum, but I think it will be most helpful to you if I just link you to a search opf this forum for similar threads because there is a lot of information out there already.

I hope this will help you settle in and become a part of this growing and exciting community. LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULER!
