I went there a couple of summers ago. It is in good condition. No oil spills or hurricane damage at the present. Many camps are being rebuilt over there too.

Thinking about taking our church youth group to Holly Beach this year, we usually go to Gulf Shores, but with everything being so expensive, we're wanting to stay closer to home! I haven't been to Holly Beach since I was a little girl, just wondering what it's like now. Are the beaches clean? Are there cabins to rent? What about crabbing...when does that take place, is there a season for it? Thanks! We're from central Louisiana and looking for things to do at "home"!

No comparison to Gulf Shores . The last time I was at Holly Beach , the water was dirty and so was the sand .

I have not been to Gulf Shores in over ten years, how is it looking these days? Especially since BP's oil spill?
