So I was born and raised in Kentucky, I lived in a small town with around 2000 people in it. The area I lived in was very simple I guess is the best way to say it. I moved to Pennsylvania to work, so far in all honesty I have absolutely hated it. Its really not because of PA but just because I miss the southern culture that, well, is who I am. I stick out like a sore thumb, I'm nearly the complete opposite of everyone around but for the most part I gotta say, the people here have been pretty cool towards me. Most, don't jump to conclusions, because I've also come to realize how much different folks are here. They seem like their always mad, on edge, and just ready to have altercation. In a nut shell, they were just born and raised different than me and thats not a bad thing, it's life. Anyways I'm saving money and plan to reallocate ASAP. I'd love to find a small southern cultured town with low cost of living. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Well if you are in Louisiana, and you are looking for small, yet cultured, you should probably check out the Lafayette Parish, maybe live in Scott or Broussard, or check out St Martin and St. Landry Parishes. Both are smaller parishes adjacent to the Lafayette area and thriving, plus you can get some great food . Let us know how your journey goes and if we can be of more help.

Well I'd like to reallocate to Louisiana but I'm not there yet. I'll be there real soon though hopefully. Thanks for the advice and I'll keep you all updated.
