My ex husband has decided to move to Abita Springs in the next few months. I am hoping someone could share with me about the distruction that Abita Springs received and the air quality. I have heard of some with respiratory problems not being able to return to damaged areas due to the air quality. My daughter has asthma and would prefer not to have her in an environment that would cause her problems. I am sure I have nothing to worry about, but since I do not know anyone in the area, I would like to hear it from someone. Thanks.

Abita Springs is a beautiful area, and polution would be negliable. In fact, Abita Springs is the source of spring water for one of the biggest water retail companies in Louisiana. There's not much to do in Abita but relax though, nice but boreing.
Just about 5-10 miles down the road is Covington with more to do. If you work in New Orleans = don't live on the North side of Lake Pontrantrain. Too many problems getting back and fourth. Good luck Bighunk |
