Default Governor Jindal

I expect good things from this next governor, and I'm proud to say that Jindal has been elected to this position. I love it! I think the voters have spoken and we're tired of the same old crap. Boasso would have been no better than Blanco, Foster Campbell is a wannabe cowboy with one eye because he's an idiot, and Georges is a pretty boy whose whole campaign has been run by bragging about how he's never failed at anything he's ever attempted in life. Those were his campaign's own words, by the way. What an egotistical jerk.

So I'm glad Jindal is in office... he is a very bright man and I hope he keeps his promises. And knowing the nature of politics, I hope he proves to us that he's not "just another politician."

What I love about Jindal winning is he has proven that the good ol' boy payoff/big money system doesn't always work! Congratulations and best wishes to Jindal, his family, and the state of Louisiana. The man has a LOT of work in front of him.

Bobby Jindal being elected as governor has given me a ray of hope. Who would want the job of running a state that is first on the "bad" lists and last on the "good" lists? Turning this state around is no less daunting than Frodo going to Mt. Doom. The system with all the orcs are still in place, but I have hope. Bobby, good luck and may the force be with you!!!

Louisiana is just teaming with natural resources, maybe the state will get its fair share of oil royalties like Texas.

Default Big Step for Louisiana

I, too, am proud of our state for taking such a bold initiative and chosing to move forward instead of continuing to allow old fashioned politics to corrupt Louisiana. Jindal will make a great governor! I truly believe he will be a fair and intelligent decision maker....Geaux Louisiana!

I have hope, and I'd like to think I'm not being overly optimistic. He seems intelligent and competent, and we were lacking that before, certainly.

I was annoyed when I saw him talking about everyone in Louisiana being "God-fearing," and I really don't appreciate the fact that he voted for the Federal Marriage Amendment in 2004, etc. etc., but I'm trying to forget about these things. This article (broken link) from The Daily Reveille doesn't help, though.

I just feel like there's nowhere to go but up, for the most part. I'm hoping he can do a few good things for the state.

As a single mom on disability - I just hope the rumors about him are false. I do think it's great we finally voted for someone different but if he makes cuts in regards to healthcare, medicare, assistance for those with mental health issues or the elderly - I'll be pushing for him to be impeached, if there is such a thing in governorship.
