I used to live at Holly beach while working for Sabine NWR fire crew and was on the Holly beach vfd. It was fun in the summer. A big party. And dead in the winter.

It's rebuilding. I was there last Thursday and was shocked how much construction there has been in the last 18 months or so. Cameron is rebuilding as well. There is a Capital One Bank and a Family Dollar down there now. It seemed like a nice place when I was first there in 2005. I'm glad to see it's starting to comeback to life. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Default Rentals @ Holly Beach

We were there a few weeks ago, someone is renting out fema trailers. What an eyesore among all the cute, new camps. Sad for the residents & their investment.

Fema traiers may be an eyesore, but the prices they are getting for a lot do not leave much for building. I don't plan on living everyday there. I enjoy my beer, shrimp, fish ,crabs and " Bon Ton Roule', in that order. That's what Holly Beach was about before and hopefully will be for a long while is what I come there for.

Default Holly Beach Rebuilding

Hi,

I am responding to your post from 2007. Hope you get this message.

My husband and I are in the process of building a rental unit in Holly Beach. It will be a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. Construction has begun and we are hoping will be completed by December 2011. We will supply all linens, towels, pots, pans, etc. We don't want our guests to haul their entire house when they come to the beach. We want our guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves. And of you want to cook, you will be well-equipped to do so.

Our website is in process - Home Page

We would love to have your friends and family!!!!
