Default I love my hometown!
You can search the world over and never will find another place like it. The food is the best in the nation, we also have real southern hospitality not the kind they talk about in Georgia and other so called southern states.

Long ago my aunt lived in Slidell. She was the greatest cook on earth. Since she passed away it seems that the state has no redeeming qualities at all.

Food...duh!
Gumbo, jambalaya, BOILED CRAWFISH!!, boudin, dirty rice, Slap Ya Mama seasoning!

Crawfish holes! As a kid, we'd have crawfish hole fights! Yeah, that was a muddy mess, but oh so fun!

Parishes! The only state in the nation! I'm from Evangeline.

Spanish moss, a few people mentioned that earlier. Beautiful & good for crafts!

That's just to name a few. I love you LOUISIANA!
