I think that St. Martinsville is one of the prettiest towns in La. and pretty much unchanged. Not far from breaux bridge but much nicer IMO.

Anywhere around Baton Rouge, with the exception of the parts of the city proper that lie north of Florida Boulevard. Just about everywheres else is a pretty good place to be. In Louisiana, you really want to be in either Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Bossier City. Those are the places where the economy really has nowhere to go but up.

Why not? Bossier City is growing at a very similar rate to Lafayette; and if Cyber Command is permanently stood up at Barksdale in 2008, Bossier City will be by far the fastest-growing city in all of Louisiana for a period of at least 5 years.

I've honestly never heard of any of these... are they all in Minden? Because if any are in Bossier I'm completely unfamiliar with them.

If you're looking for a more familiar-to-you feel, seems to me a toss-up between Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Baton Rouge may have more amenities but it seems to have more problems. Lafayette seems to be a healthy, prosperous city, but you don't have as many amenities.

Care to define "problems" ? Not that I have anything against Lafayette, but BR gets a bad rap.
