Shreveport has a lot of potential- We simply need to find a way to have a robust means to market the various industrial building we have to attract industry.
We do need "WAGE INCREASE" - Wage increase uplifts the make up of the city, people improve things when they have the funds to do so.
Shreveport suffered economic losses over the past 20/30 or so years - it contributed to the many challenged areas. But - with available jobs, 'The people will work". So far the working people are proud of the places they work in general - but Wage Increase can do more to improve the work morale as well as improve the circulation of money in and within the city.
Our Money should circulate several times before it leaves our region, and we have the definite needs for that to happen.
Being at the location in the ArkLaTex - Shreveport has to focus on regaining its place as the center of the ArkLaTex.

I think we can learn a great deal from the 'growth modeling" from many foreign locations. They build cultural aesthetics as well as they build innovative designs in their constructions while they also build to support a pedestrian culture within what they build.

We need "Tech Programs" and a "Robust Tech Community" - that is the trend in innovations and it also provides opportunity avenues for the young people to learn, create, invent and modify and develop new things. This inspires any community of city, as there are many example we can learn from.

We don't know the capacity nor the volume value of what is within our youth until we take the steps to put them front and center.

There is new money and old money in the city, and the old money knows they can't take it with them when they pass on, but they can invest to build legacy. How do you promote such a concept is a big question.

We have mass land of many sorts to do many things, we have river front and lake fronts, yet undeveloped to what it may have potential to become. It takes vision - The young people being engaged can and will provide ideas if they are engaged.
Instead of measuring against Baton Rouge- we'd advance more to look in broad view of what is happening in the Asian Pacific and other regions, to LEARN - how to move progressively forward.

Shreveport has a lot of potential, it just needs everything to make it happen. And I mean everything. Shreveport has nothing going on for it right now. Much of the young are in a race to get out of that town.
