I'll be living in Opelousas for a time and am wondering which ISP to go with.

I have neither a TV nor a landline phone. Won't get a TV, but I would consider getting a landline phone service (sans actual phone) if DSL makes most sense.

Does anyone have any guidance to offer?

Factors are: cost, reliability, and relative speed (I don't need top of the line speed).

Thanks in advance,

Mzuri

I live in LC and have Suddenlink cable internet. It's not unlimited (anymore, it used to be), but is reasonably priced, fast, and reliable. I don't have cable.. just internet. I did have to buy my own router a few years ago for best performance, theirs were slow and kept needing to be replaced.. they may have gotten better now. The modem never gave us trouble. Regarding cell phone I've found AT+T to have the best coverage, not only here but nationwide including Alaska (my husband travels with work). My son has Sprint and it is very common for me to have service and him not even in the local area. HTH

Thanks, HTH!

I decided to be old-school and signed on with Charter. FWIW, I use straight talk for my cell phone service and I get very good signals nationally except, for some strange reason, in and around Roswell, New Mexico .... hmmmm.
