Default Louisiana Revisited

1. BNSF freight train passing through Crowley, heading east toward Lafayette.
2. The Welcome to Louisiana stone at the Welcome Center on I-10 coming into Louisiana from Houston.
3. What was once the Acadiana Cafe. God, I loved their tacos. I used to eat there when I'd come to Crowley to visit my great grandmother when I was a kid.
4. The storefront of what was once my great grandmother's dress shop in downtown Crowley.
5. The old train station in Crowley.

Enjoy!
Scott

One of my favorite LA pics - sunset in Baton Rouge (that's the Mississippi River Bridge).

Having moved to Louisiana only a week ago, I thought I'd post the first pic that I have taken around where I'm now living. This is Flag Lake on Barksdale AFB in Bossier/Shreveport.

My brother-in-law caught this 10 pounder on Cross Lake last Monday. He did release it to be caught again by someone else.
Tamzyn, this is not far from where you live.

crabbing in Grand Isle...Our family did that a year ago, just before Hurricane Gustav hit. It was fantastic and we caught dozens and dozens of them. Just wading out there with crab traps and taking home enough to eat for days. Man I want to do that again someday.

It's amazing to see all of those traps out on the beaches, That was something I never got to see growing up in Florida..
