Question Greenwell Springs/Central area?

We are now considering that area since it seems you can get more for your money in the way of a house and yard/land verses the city of Baton Rouge, and it is a short drive from hubbys work.
How are the public elementary schools, would I still want/need to consider private school? Is the area safe?

Thanks.

Central has recently become a city. It has a new community school system. This was the first year and they have had some bumps getting it started. The Super has handled every obstacle that I have seen. The principals are great... the teachers are mostly those that have been in Central schools and decided to stay in the good situation. I've been impressed.

Central has a lot of new growth..newer upscale also with older neighborhoods. It is a safe community to raise your children.

Smile Thanks

We going to put an offer in on a house Hampton Village Estates off of Jore Rd. Nice Homes and they are adding more new homes in the neighborhood.

I did visist the Elementary School and was impressed. I am also going to go visit the Catholic School, but I have heard great things about the public school system out there.

I really like the area and it does seem safe.

Thanks Again!
