The tax has already passed, the real thing is using that hotel tax for what it's intended to be used on and NOT as a means of increasing a public servant's salary.

IMO, until state and local politicians actually take action and pass measures that greatly positively impact their constituents, they should have reduced pay and benefits.

Whatcha think about this?

Sounds like a continuation of bringing industry to the area. Good for business? Yes. Good for jobs? Yes. Though I kind of cringe because the countryside and farms there bring peace and culture to the area.

I don't know, I think that SWLA has more than enough land to develop and to retain. Most land, be it residential or commercial was fields or woods at one time. That said, I think we need more technology and research type jobs.

I agree. I think we need more jobs to be on par with Lafayette and Beaumont. Maybe then the area will develop and grow.

I'm so happy that they've reopened the eastbound 210 ramp on Nelson Road. They took one of the left turn lanes (heading towards I-210 West) and simply switched the direction of the traffic (to the east).

I really seem to upset people while driving in the last remaining left turn lane and not allowing those in the outside lane to cut in on me.

Should I be a good citizen and just let all the stalled traffic cut in on me?

P.S. I already T-Boned someone last month trying to cut in on me. They were going 60+ MPH according to LCPD and turned into my inside lane on Nelson road. I was not civil and rather than braking excessively I kept traveling. No, I was not at fault but I am sure someone on City-Data will find fault with my actions.

This post is a prime example of why LC needs some major highway upgrades.
