Madisonville, Covington or Mandeville? (public schools, living, club)

We are contemplating a move to this area with a possible job change for my husband. My husband is from Louisiana and his family is still here. We are concerned about moving our 2 boys, 14 and 10, and changing schools. Both are competitive swimmers and our youngest is a very good wrestler. Any thoughts of club teams in the area? We have been impressed with the public schools--Mandeville and Covington. We would love any thoughts, tips or ideas to help make this decision process a little easier. Thanks so much!

The majority of the schools in St. Tammany parish are exceptional. Here is the website to view the school performance scores: St. Tammany Parish School Board. Also, the Pelican Athletic Club in Mandeville has a swim team. Sorry I could not help more, my boys are 4 and 1. Moderator cut: edit

Mandeville is too close to Lake Pontchartrain and floods in spots during heavy rains. Also hurricanes. Madisonville is the same. At least Covington is further away from the lake and has some small slopes (not really hills) but stay away from bayou property unless you like the idea of water potentially sitting around your living room with you!
